Port tours

I have a question, I am cruising on Holland America, in booking through the ship on line, they list all tours for that port and I assume ship depending on when the ship docks. the whale watching tour is listed however the only time it has is 2:30. According to the ships agenda the ship comes in to port at 2:30. Why would they offer the whale watching tour for exactly the same time the ship arrives. Does the Tour wait for the ship. If the ship docks at 2:30 by the time people depart I would assume it would be another half hour at least before all people who are doing tours have left the ship. I am afraid to book this tour and have it leave without me. As anyone had experience with this?????

They will have you meet in a lounge probably by 2:15pm, then exit the ship as a group. All tours include the shuttle times.

You don't say what port this is ??
I assume it's Juneau,AK .
That is when we are scheduled to be in port. We booked the whale watching tour with Orca Enterprises at the 6:00 tour. We want to see the state capital and other things in town before and that was the only time left. We are HAL Volendam June1-9
I hope you have a nice cruise. This is our first time to AK. Looking forward to a great time.

If you book a ships tour, they are not going to leave without you (and the others from the ship).
