Default Tour saver book

I have been hearing about the tour saver book. Has anyone used this for their shore excursions while on a cruise?

This is not good for shore excursions on the Inside Passage with only a few offers. Main use here are the Kayak tours out of Ketchikan, if you get a cheap used book would be beneficial. Best use of this book is with INTERIOR Alaska INDEPENDENT travelers.
