wine on board

We are cruising next July on RCCL and are wine enthusiasts. Is it possible to sneak wine on board in our luggage? We would love to take wine from our cellar rather than pay outragious prices for it on board. Has anyone ever done this or know of a way we can do this without getting our wine confiscated? Do they search everyone who comes on board? Do they search your checked baggage as well as carryons?

I always carry boxed wine on board and have never had a problem with it being confiscated. In fact we carry a "virtual" bar between my husband and myself and have never had a problem. My advice to you if you are going to carry bottled wine it to make sure it is wrapped very well so that the bottles do not get broken and enjoy.

You do not have to sneak it in. But you will be charged a corkage fee if you bring it to dinner.
