Default Vancouver

My daughter and I have a few hours in Vancouver before our ship sails and are wondering what there is to do for about 3 hours. Any suggestions?

You can easily walk around town right by the pier and be sure to look for the steam powered clock.

You can also take a bus to Stanley Park.

I understand Stanley Park is close by and maybe Granville Island also. I have not been to Vancouver before but am going 5/16 on Carnival Spirit to Alaska.

Or take the skytrain around for a bit - stops by One Canada Place.

Gastown is probably the most accessible (just down the street from Canada Place) and it is very interesting. Lots of eclectic shops and plenty of souvenirs. Pacific Centre shopping mall is also a good spot to while away a couple of hours.

Or you can hop on the "Sea Bus" and take it over to North Vancouver - that way you get to see Vancouver both ways - coming and going. There is a market right where the ses bus docks on the north shore. A great place to stroll.

Kim:

Another suggestion. Take the SeaBus across to North Vancouver @2.25c each way. Cool to see all the ship traffic and such. Access is right next store to 1CP. 8)

Hi there... theres lots to do here in vancouver. Walk 3 blocks south and take the #19 bus to stanley park. It costs 2.25 per adult. Don' t go to gastown , its just full of over priced gift shops and street people. Granville isl. is a good choice as well.

I LOVE Gastown. Depends what you like. I think they had quite a few nice shops. But I do think it would be better to go to Stanley Park. One word of advice - we tried to take a taxi back from Stanley Park and it took us over an hour to get one (even after we called). Just keep that in mind if you are thinking taxi.
