Prince Rupert to Skagway, then Skagway to Juneau...jones act?

Hi everyone

Or maybe the Passenger Vessel Services Act

I though I understood this but the more I look into it I'm not sure anymore!

I any traveling from prince Rupert to skagway on the marine state highway ferry, then was planning to get the 3hour ferry from Skagway to Juneau for a flight some days later.

Obviously prince Rupert to Skagway is Canada to USA, but Skagway To juneau would be USA to USA.

I though that as the ferry is state run it is USA owned and I could do this but I'm not sure anymore!

My backup plan would be to fly from Skagway to Juneau I would think. But surely these boats are used by people to travel between USA ports in Alaska?

Any help would be appreciated!

Not a problem . The ferry is registered and crew by america's.
The Jones Act doesn't apply to US Flagged ships only Foreign flagged ships.
There a couple of excepts on the east coast where canadian flagged ferries run between the US and canada.
