Default Alaska Season is coming!!! Bargains out there

I am seeing a LOT of last minute (meaning up to 90 days out) bargains out there this year - although cruises seem pretty expensive if you book further out (a year, for example).

I suggest bargain shopping for Alaska cruises now!

Our particular trip is sold out for the season, though I think the ships still have unsold cabins. Looking forward to seven days in state before sailing South.

The girl I always cruise with will be retiring in five years and that's the cruise she wants to take. My hubby and son who don't cruise are open to an Alaskan cruise so we talk about it and that would be a great time for all of us to go.
My question is when is the best time to cruise to Alaska....I basically figured it was June, July & August, are these the ideal time to go.

Yes, cruising to Alaska starts in mid May and goes to mid Sept. I loved going in July....you will however, notice the prices less in May and Sept.

With almost 34, 000 miles of shoreline, an Alaska cruise is the best way to see and enjoy the great land of Alaska. Cruises to Alaska continue to be one of the most popular ways to experience Alaska's grandeur and unspoiled beauty. An Alaskan Cruise provides opportunities for passengers to explore the quaint and charming seaside towns, get up close to tidal glacier, discover the outlying wilderness, and witness wildlife in their natural surroundings.

Alaska cruises from Seattle are offered by numerous cruise lines and are an affordable option. All Alaska cruises from Vancouver sail the Inside Passage route, known for the magnificent scenery of the lush temperate rainforest and wildlife sightings such as bald eagles, sea lions, and whales. An Alaska cruise from San Francisco is a great alternative, especially if you're looking for a cruise lasting 10 days or longer.
To get a complete Alaska experience, you really need to consider Alaska Cruise Tours. These Cruise Tours to Alaska combine an Alaska Cruise with a land experience into the heart of Alaska and often take you to Denali National Park where you will find North America's tallest mountain Mt. McKinley.

I agree a land/sea tour is the way to go to see the most Alaska has to offer. It depends on budget and allowing enough time to see more. After research we are also doing land/sea tour and I am excited. I agree it's more money in the summer we are leaving June 15th due to the fact temperatures are maybe too cold in May. But at least the temps will be a bit better <well so I hope >

Looking forward to my NCL Sun Alaska cruise next year. 14 nights N/S from Vancouver for less than $100 a night ($1,268 for 14 nights).
