Default Cruise Docs

I have been away for awhile (from this site) and apologize if this issue has been addressed...
I remember many people feeling ripped off because your docs no longer came in the mail from Carnival After booking just last week, I found out that if you click on "View E-Docs" even just to look you will not get your old fashioned documents in the mail. Well, this excited me because I can't wait for the little packet to arrive in the mail 8) So, going forward I will not be clicking to much on my reservation page. I want to get the little blue book and cool luggage tags in the mail . Now I only have about 400 days to wait

You can call and request that little blue book and get your doc's delivered to your door, just like before. I did that for our next one because my PC isn't really happy about my new printer. Until I get that worked out, I want to make sure I get my doc's!

I too love the little books instead of the downloaded version. Once I get the book, I can then go online and print extra luggage tags if I need them.

I just got my luggage tags, contract and info on excursions yesterday. Is that my Cruise Docs?

Yes, you can now officially do the Doc Dance. Just be sure you have your fun pass and boarding pass in the booklet.

I like to put my booklet into a clear document envelope along with my travel insurance, passport and any other paper documents I plan to carry with me. Be sure you do not pack this. You must carry it to the desk at the cruise terminal to check in.

Have fun.

Sorry. I have always cruised Carnival and my TA or Carnival sends me a little booklet with the boarding passes and information needed for the cruise along with my funpass and sail and sign information. You may have received these documents in another form than "the blue booklet" that Carnival sends.

Looking at your sail date, though, it seems a little early to be getting your cruise docs.

Whooo! Thought they forgot to send me something. Guess I'm ready to go then.

I have to ask this questions, when you were going to view your documents did you select Edocs or paper docs? If you selected Edocs your up the creek without a paddle!!!!

I like the paper docs, but after getting the paper docs for the last cruise I went on I realized that Edocs is the only way to go. Edocs includes everyting, while the paperdocs were very thin and didn't include everything. I also hated the wee tiny luggage tags, so I printed the Edocs one. My paperdocs were 50% thinner for that cruise than it was for the one before it....LOTS was not listed in there because all the info was available on Edocs.

As for viewing your documents you can do it anytime you want. Once the selection is made your edocs can be opened and viewed anytime. I suggest saving them and just referring to the saved copy. There is no need to be afraid that if you view edocs you won't get paper, if you selected paper....

Fear Edocs not, because eventually you will get them that way only, unless you have a stuation where Edocs is not possible...
