Registry Vacations

So, I am sure this has been addressed many times in the past. However, I would like some current info. Has anyone used the Registry Vacation package offered through SeaMiles (Carnival Card)? All I find is older postings and it isn't good stuff for the most part. I would like to hear from anyone that has used it recently for the 7 day cruise, 7 day land and 5 day Pueblo Bonito stay.
I know the saying "too good to be true" but just wanted any back ground anyone could give me.
Thanks! :D

We purchased it but haven't decided on when we are going. From the cruises and resorts we see, it is a good deal

registry vacations

Hi - I booked a deal with Registry vacations.
I found that they have no resorts available at the times that I want at the locations that I want. And that they have horrible customer service. Their offices close at 5 pm and it is difficult to get a hold of someone.
And they are flying by the seat of their pants. These people have no idea what they're doing. They always say 'i'm not a booking agent. you have to call them.' or 'I'm not in accounting - you have to call them.'
They have been terrible!

By the time it was all said and done and the pain i felt through the whole process, I'm not sure I saved that much money.

Also, remember that the resort vacation only pays for the room, not for food or anything else. So even if you think youre going to get a good deal on the cruise, you can get a good resort deal anywhere. They have many restrictions on the resorts.
And on top of that, they gave me the pueblo bonito stay but i had to use it within 6 months and when i called they were all booked so i couldn't use it at all! it was not a savings. If you can actually get a date for pueblo bonito AND get a date and location for the resort stay that is spectacular/fabulous, you'll probably save $. But otherwise, you're better off getting a good deal on cruise and then separately booking a hotel somewhere you actually want ot go AND not feel pressure to take the vacations that they are offering!

I wouldn't go with them again. They have been really bad with their customer service experience.

STAY AWAY!

It's a ripoff!! If you book a cruise beware that port charges and taxes aren't included. We did a 10 day Princess cruise to the Panama Canal and actual charges that we paid extra were around $1600.00. We have a resort booked for Orlando FL and there weren't any extra charges there.

I will not recomend this people, I bought a vacation package, I called to book the cruise, I try 4 diferents dates with 3 differents cruise line and the agent could not find something good for me, everything was booked already, or I have top pay almost the full price for me and my wife, they have blok out date, meaning if you are planing to use it during a major holiday you are out of luck, no way to make it.

I can't say anything good about this people, if I were you stay away from them. I regret to had make deal with them

ICE or International Cruise and Excursions do NOT just sell cruises, they sell a vacation PACKAGE, therefor you are not just paying for 1 vacation but 2, in regards to the port fees and taxes, EVERYONE pays port fees and taxes, the difference with this is that it is an open Itinerary, meaning they dont know where, when or who you are cruising with, you do all of your shopping on a website that is private for people like us that buy into a discounted vacation package, all port fees and taxes are disclosed on each cruise you look at , yes the more flexible you are the better the upgrades you will get at no additional charge. In regards to booking my vacations I had a wonderful consultant that walked me through the website and showed me how to use it to find the best savings, once I found it I was able to call him tell him what I was looking for then transferred over to a booking specialist. For the 2nd vacation we actually went to a resort in Cabo, this is a property that I had been wanting to go to forever, however looking at expedia it was never something that I could afford. We were able to book that EXACT same resort at the time we wanted and didnt pay a dime extra for a sea view room, Grand Mayan Cabos this is a 4 star property and was all included in the PACKAGE price. When I did the price comparison on the what it would cost me to book the cruise and then out of pocket to book the resort, WITHOUT the hotel vouchers were ended up saving $700 this was over and beyond the EXTRA port fees and taxes that we paid when the cruise was booked, oh....and the best part ??? we were able to take the resort stay before the package was paid off. Anyone that is on a budget that still wants the luxury of vacations but cant afford everything upfront, this is a no brainer, in fact I have just purchased my 2nd package and look forward to a long business relationship with ICE aka registry vacations.
