Default Shuttle/Taxi...FLL to Port Everglades?

What the best/cheapest way to get to Port Everglades after landing at FLL? I've seen shuttle services for $65 each way/$125 rt. Abit pricey. What would a regular old taxi cost? Or...Can you hop on a car rental bus at the airport terminal then hop one of their free shuttles to the pier once at the rental car bldg? Does that work or do you have to prove you've actually rented a car?

Thanks!

--Jeff

PS...message corrected. Port Everglades not Port Canaveral!!

Hi!
It's a 3 hours drive from FLL.Can't you have a flight to Orlando?The shuttle
is cheap at this price. now you decide what you will do. Have a nice cruise.

Port Everglades is only a few minutes from FLL. A taxi would be about $20.

CA is right. Port Everglades is only a few minutes from the airport. Taxi is the way to go. If you go down the night before we have stayed at the embassy suites which is also close by, and is very nice. I think MTL is thinking about Port Canaveral with is 3 hours away.

Where exactly are you flying into?? Cruising out of Pt. Everglades, that airport is right next to the pier. Almost sounds like you are flying into Miami possibly??

The OP edited his original post. He now states he is flying into FLL - Fort Lauderdale going to Port Everglades NOT Port Canaveral as first posted. Taxi is the best way to get to the ship.

The fact that the port and airport ars so close is such a great plus in Lauderdale. The luxury of having a line of cabs waiting is just great...Things may change when both Genesis ships are ready to sail, and cabs, airport, and lines will be insane.....
