Default Boarding mid-cruise

Can one board a cruise at one of the ports along the way? Someone in our group lost a family member today, and we cruise Sunday. If she is not able to make it to Miami to board, could she fly to our first port (Grand Cayman) and meet up with us there? This is a Carnival cruise.

Darren, I don't think this is allowed because of TSA rules. The cruise line must turn over a list of passengers before the cruise.

Then again, I'd call Carnival and ask. There may be a way. I'm sorry for your friend's loss.

Good luck,
