after reading Kukis post on the cost of the cab ride from LAX to the terminal ($70.00) I called Prince to see about buying a transfer much to my surprise cheaper to take the cab ($98.00 round trip per person) Might have to leave a couple days early so we can walk to the ship
Thank you that sounds a lot better are they reliable?
We have never used them personally but they are the most popular here and all my officemates use them when traveling. Their online program does charge an 18% tip but I heard you can change that so look for that or just grab one at LAX. A couple others are Primetime and Karmel.

I have used Super Shuttle three times in Tampa. They are right at the airport and will take you where ever you need to go; they have an office at the airport and post the cost of trip; the cost is based on zones; zone 1 might be around the airport within five miles; zone 2 might expand to twenty mile radius; but they are reliable and cheap.

WE used them once in 1999 and never again. THey picked us up in an un-airconditioned mini van. Someone had been carsick and the van reaked (sp?). The driver also drove like a crazy person (no wonder someone had been sick in his vehicle).
You can also negotiate fixed-rates wtih cabbies. This can be advantageous, as when the driver is awaiting entry to the pier, in a long line-up, the meter keeps ticking and can go up by a few $$.
