Does anybody know of any cruises that go around the Indian subcontinent? I have wanted to visit India for a long time, but have been unable to find anything like that.
Would appreciate hearing about your experiences in that vein.
There are very few cruise ships that call on the Indian subcontinent. It is a fascinating place. However, the waves in the Indian Ocean are normally very big. The constant wind from the African Coast keeps the swells from 40 to 60 feet on good days, on the West side of India.
Pirates and equally difficult seas on the Eastern side of India make the cruising there quite uncomfortable and downright dangerous.
