Does anyone know if the cruise offers lessons and if they are an extra cost. I read somewhere in my literature of website somewhere that the Grand and the Golden ships offer country line dance lessonsand that one night they have a dance. We are very into this at home and have wanted to take lessons but live out in the country and would have to drive about 40 miles for lessons so we just watch others and try to do what they do, but would love to take lessons.
The dance lesson is no charge, just check the daily Princess Platter to find out where and when it is. On my last Princess cruise I did notice it in there, so check when they deliver the paper, sounds like fun.
And pray for calm seas. It is so funny to try to do a line dance if the ship is rockin and rollin. I know from experience. The lines look like the waves on the ocean. My girlfriend and I who know how to line dance looked like novices because the floor would not stay put. We both got a severe case of the giggles which did not help either.
I just heard back from the Cruise Director on the Golden Princess and he said "rest, assured we do offer Line Dancing classes and on the 12th day cruise we have a country production show called 'Country Roads' and a country and western theme night". Thought I'd pass along to you. Have a wonderful trip! You couldn't have chosen a better cruise line (I'm prejudice).
