I am considering a 7 day cruise on the Vision of the Seas over Christmas week. Has anyone experienced the Pacific during the month of December and if so, how was it? Were the seas rough, the weather cool? Love to hear from anyone who's been there. Thanks,
Patty
I went 1st week in Feb and the seas where fine but not sure about Dec. I know that it was sometimes too windy to go up on deck and chilly too. The nice thing about this iten from Dec to March you will be able to see whales and dolphins which is absolutely the best thing about that cruise!
Patty we've done a TransCanal cruise to Acapulco in February and had no problems with rough seas and the weather was nice. We have also done the other side of Mexico(Cozumel) in early January and it was hot ! Does that help any??
My wife and I did 4 Mexican Riviera cruises since 1992, with 3 of them 10 day cruises in mid-December. One was on the old Golden Princess on its 2d to last cruise in 1996. The last 2 were this past year and in 2001, both on the H/American Statendam.
On all 3, the weather was real good - this past year was a little bit of an exception as California was experiencing unseasonably bad weather in December (we left from and returned to San Diego). However, most of the trip the weather was great, and the ocean was calm most of the time!
You should really enjoy the cruise, and if it goes to Acupulco, make sure to take the tour with the cliff divers - I have done it 3 times and would do it again - one of the best.
