Okay, I sent my passport off about six weeks ago to change my name on it. (Yeah, I procrastinated.) Trouble is, I sent the only certified copy of my marriage license I have along with it. I do have a photocopy of the marriage license.
If I don't get my passport back in time for my cruise, will they accept my birth certificate, driver's license (which is in my married name) and the photocopy of my marriage license? Do you have to have the certified copy of your marriage license for them to make sure you are the same person from your birth certificate and your driver's license?
I filled out the Funpass info online with my passport number. Will it be much of a problem if I use the other documentation instead of the passport, since it won't match the info on the Funpass?
What's a "fun pass", Michelle? We've done several cruises with CCL and have never heard of it. And it's not mentioned in their brochures. Is it something new, perhaps?
Try calling the Passport Office.. my husband and I sent in for re-newals at the same time...mine was sent back more than a week ago..he just got his the other day... When he called they told him exactly when it was mailed.. Also mention your "situation" so that if they haven't sent it out they will expedite it.
Update - finally got my passport in the mail! They just added a line about the name change to the last page - I could have gotten a typewriter and done that! Oh well, good to have it back at last.
Filled out my passport application but haven't turned it in yet and want to change the mailing address. Should I just tell them of a different address while turning in the application or just fill out a new application?
