Infant ID
What is acceptable ID for a 7 month old sailing in the Western Carribean? I was considering getting my daughter a passport for ease of going out of country but is this overkill for someone so small. As it is valid for 10 years or so how could her picture possibly keep up with her appearance. What other kind of picture id could she possibly have though

Re: Infant ID
Childrens passports are for 5 years only but the picture point is still the same.

Re: Re: Infant ID
i'm not sure where you are from, but in canada, passports for children up to 3 are valid for 3 years only (cost way less too), and you're supposed to renew it (for free) everytime you travel if your child has grown and changed a lot, so they can change the picture. I had one done for my 9 month old daughter in 2002, not we're taking her on a cruise and all I had to do was take new pictures and renew the passport for free.

Re: Infant ID
We got one the spring after 9/11 for our 20 month old. Everyone smiles at her cute photo but no one required it then. I'm now wondering whether to get one for my 8 month old for our upcoming cruise. I don't know the answer.
