So, I'm sailing from Fort Lauderdale on Monday... headed to Key West on Tuesday, Cozumel on Wed. and Belize City on Thursday. Thunderstorms predicted at each port everyday. How much will this affect our trip? Also, will RC reroute it?
Also, any word on the Tropical Storm brewing? My dad mentioned it, but I haven't heard anything else. Could it pass by Monday??
((First cruise since '96 and I'm praying weather doesn't ruin it. Also, my grandma is so completely hesitant about cruising in the first place and I just KNOW she'll hate it if we're stuck in the middle of A TS. Motion sickness on smooth seas is enough for her to handle...))
If there is severe weather, the captain will take you a different route, may-be even different ports, they will avoid any bad weather. Its also possible that if you have an Eastern route, could be changed to Western or vice versa.. Hope the storms stay clear and you have a lovely cruise.
If the tropical storm is in the path of your sip, they will alter their course. May even take you to different ports. If there is only a chance of rain in your ports, they will still dock. Be sure to pack that umbrella and maybe a poncho!
