Clothes Iron

More than likely we will need to iron clothes for dinner -- is there an iron in the room or can I have one brought to our room? We're sailing Legend of the Seas (RC). Thanks - Steph

Re: Clothes Iron

You can not bring one on board. They usually have them in the passenger's laundry. It is a safety issue and you can't bring them with you. You can bring a Steamer.

Rccl does not have a passenger laundry - I've only encountered one on HAL. Try bringing some wrinkle release spray - works like a charm. Otherwise, you can have the ship's laundry service press your things at a relatively reasonable rate.

You cannot bring an iron on Carnival but they did have them available in the laundry for use. Just don't wait until formal night, because the lines are long.....

Can you have your clothes sent out to be ironed/steamed on Carnival?
Any idea how much they charge for this?

On some of the RCCL I've seen folks get a iron and ironing board from the main desk.
But I like to just carry the spray also. I never seem to have that good of luck with steamers.

Re: Clothes Iron

Carnival will press them for you if you like. I cannot remember the exact prices but I had to have a couple things laundered and the prices were not all that unreasonable, certainly more than your local cleaners but not enough to be considered gouging.
