Default tipping question -butler/concierge

Well, I never thought I'd have this question, but we were offered an upgrade to a penthouse suite for $100 pp, and we took it!

What to tip?

I'm not even sure what to ask a butler to do.......

butler traditionally gets 3.50pd p/p --dont know what cruise line you are on but on celebrity site there is a list of the things that the butler will and can do for you --dont get the butler mixed up with the cabin attendant --2 different people and 2 different jobs

Lougee's answer is a good one. Here is what a butler provides on Celebrity.

assistance with unpacking/packing;daily news delivery;full breakfast in-suite lunch & dinner service

in-suite afternoon tea service

evening hors d'oeuvres daily

complimentary espresso & cappuccino

shoeshine service

delivery of requested board games

The butler can also do things like taking care of dry cleaning and shoe shines. He can also arrange in suite parties. I would also take advantage of at least dining one time in your suite. It is very romantic.

Take care,
Mike

Thank you very much for the response!

I will dine at least once in the cabin! I'm not sure I want assistance unpacking, but I guess I'll see, maybe I'll get used to a life of luxury !!! (hee hee)
