first-timer - folding clothes iron?
 

does anyone bring a small, folding iron? I am not flying, so luggage is not as big a problem.

Some people do use them, but they SHOULDN'T, they are fire hazards on ships. And fire is about the MOST DANGEROUS problem on a ship.

Take a travel steamer instead. We do, and they work great.

Travel irons are a big No-No. Serious fire hazzard.
Travel steamers work very well.
The spray-on wrinkle reducer stuff works well.
Hanging your clothes in a steamy shower
A lot of ships offer self-service laundry with irons.
You can send your clothes out to be pressed for a fee.
