Default Ship's time!

My wife and I will be taking our first cruise in May aboard the Caribbean Princess. One of our ports will be Grand Cayman. We want to take an early snorkel/stingray city excursion (8:30am). According to our itinerary we will be there at 7:00am. If it is 7am ships time, what time will it be in Grand Cayman if they don't observe daylight savings time? Will it be 6am their time? :?:

Thanks,

Tim

Some cruise lines have their passengers move their watches so they are on island time in ports of call. Others ask you to remain on "ship's time" and be aware.

I'm not sure which Caribbean P does.

If you're looking at booking an independant tour, ask the tour operator. They'll know better than anyone.

A couple more questions:

When the intinerary says 7-4, does that mean that you arrive there at 7 or does that mean you start tendering at 7?

And, if you arrive earlier do they start tendering you in to port earlier?

Kuki, has anone ever told you that you look like Phil Jackson, the coach of the LA Lakers? :D

Thanks,

Tim

Upon arriving the ship has to be cleared by local officials. This normally takes at least 30 minutes.

If the ship happens to arrive early, the process will start early.

If the ship is leaving at 4, last tender back to the ship will probably be scheduled for 3:00 to 3:15.

Just FYI.. Grand Cayman is a port that is skipped occassionally because of sea conditions. If the seas area too rough to tender passengers safely the ship will move on to the next port. So.... if booking a private tour make certain you are not charged for the tour if the ship doesn't allow you to get off.

Oddly.. yes, and when I was younger they said Tom Selleck. Probably just the moustache I'd like to be getting either of their paychecks
