port of tampa, incoming ships last weekend

was at port of tampa last weekend, there were two cruise ships coming in, and noticed that fbi, as well as coast guard, they appeared to be investigating something about the ships??? was anyone on these that can enlighten as to what happened???

I have no exact details as to the incident you saw; however, oftentimes the Coast Guard will escort ships into the harbor and the FBI can be simply doing a routine check or possibly they got a "hit" on the passenger manifest of a person of interest.

YES, I DO KNOW THAT THE COAST GUARD DOES DO A ROUTINE SWEEP, HOWEVER, IT APPEARED THAT BOTH INCOMING SHIPS WERE TARGETED FOR A MORE THOROUGH "LOOKOVER", WITH A LARGER NUMBER OF FBI ON SITE. I JUST HOPE THAT THEY CONTINUE TO BE THOROUGH ON ALL SHIPS AND PORTS OUT OF FLORIDA,

well you certainly got me curious about the event but I could not find nothing at the FBI website regarding any investigation or coast guard; usually on big things they issue a press release; so far I have found nothing.

okay any other CM's out there got the scoop

was this the weekend they were bringing the Inspiration back after dry dock and also the same weekend another ship had propulsion problems.

probably a routine, perhaps they are just getting more agressive to ensure that no problems do arise, which is good!
