Default FORUM UPGRADE

Is there anything we should know about the new "upgrade"? Any hints about what we posters will need to do?

Not really:

You should know your password and when the upgrade occurs you "may" need to delete the current link from your "Favorites" and save the new link.

You will still access the boards the same way from the Home Page dropdown "Message Boards" icon. If you access the message boards directly from a link in your favorites, and not the Cruisemates Home Page, you will need to access the boards from the Home Page www.cruisemates.com the first time.

The boards will cosmetically look different and there will be more functions but it will be very in "similar" in function to another popular cruise board and the basic functions of "reply" and "quote" will still be there.

Take care,
Mike

The exact date has not been set. The new boards are being tested to make sure there are functional errors.

We will give as much warning as we can.

The IT guys at our parent company are doing the changeover so we don't have total control but they are really good about keeping us informed.

Take care,
Mike

They don't have private messaging over there? Odd. You can always send an email. I honestly don't know the date or if they have PM. I assume they will be very similar to the other board since our parent company actually developed the software that those boards run on.

I like that mike said, "The new boards are being tested to make sure there are functional errors."

That is exactly the kind of typo I am known for - I may have to sue for theft of intellectual property

FlyerTalk definitely has PM capability; so, I assume it will be here.

Theft of intellectual property...I so want to be on that jury. I promise to secretly video it for the group.
Marty, who is secretly glad that smart folks like these two guys also make typo's

Paul:

Yep: Spell check doesn't catch brain malfunctions. I hope it wasn't a "Freudian slip" I won't go back and add a "no" to my further post but there will be "no" functional errors.

Paul: For all litigation you can contact my attorney at Finder, Cheetum and Howe.

Oh oh: I just logged into the new boards and I am now "Banned for Life".

Darn: I knew they wouldn't believe that all those links I posted to my new website, "harrybaldguys.com", were for "testing" purposes.

Take care,
Mike
