A friend and I are traveling on the NCL Jewel on March 14th... I've done a few cruises and normally use my credit/debit card for the onboard expense account. However, this time around I am wanting to pay in cash. I read that NCL requires an initial deposit for settling in cash. Does anyone know how much that deposit is? Or.. if it's possible to use two credit cards for the one cabin? Any info would be much appreciated.
Yes, each cruiser in a cabin can use their own credit card for their onboard purchases. You would set that up when you first board. Not sure what the cash requirement is, but your travel agent should know what amount.
For your convenience, all shipboard expenses are charged to NCL's special onboard credit program. Sign up on the first day of your cruise, by establishing your method of payment with Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover®, Diners Club®,travelers checks or cash. If you choose to settle your account with cash, a deposit will be required in advance. You may also use your debit card; however, please be advised that NCL obtains pre-authorization which some banks may hold for up to 30 days.
I am not sure what the amount is but I will ask.
