Default Aussie Dollar expected to fall soon

Just as all the cruise lines planned to move to Australia and take advantage of the super strong currency traders are predicting the Aussie will drop to $.60 on the $. That is about 1/2 of it current value.

That is going to take quite a chunk out of the profits of all those ships down there.

What do Aussies think? Would you take a cruise if it cost twice as much?

That would suck and put a major dent in our vacation fund as our Employee stock plan is in Aussie $$$

So Sorry - maybe you should move it. The Aussie fell below the US dollar for the first time in years yesterday. It was as high as $1.40 in 2012 (I do believe).

People predict it will go far lower.

Can't move it. We work for an Aussie Company and the benefit is paid in aussie dollars. Vacation funds can come from elsewhere but we've always considered our ESPP plan as our vacation account.
