I've been checking weather.com for a while now and they keep saying showers! for days in a row for the western caribbean. 50% chance. Has anyone been lately and what's it really like? A few sprinkles a day or worse? Any sun on those showery days? Should I bring my umbrella?!
I was on the Carnival Inspiration a couple of weeks ago. We had beautiful weather everyday in port. The only day it rained was when we came back into Florida which was ok. It made it easier to go home!

It almost always rains a little in the Caribbean. Look at it this way...there's a 50% chance it WON'T rain! We went on a Western Caribbean cruise last spring break. It rained one day for part of the day at sea and it rained when we returned to Tampa. To put your mind at ease...even when the CNN weather was calling for showers, most days it didn't.
I was there this past summer, and when in the Western Caribbean we really didn't encounter any bad weather. When we did, it was maybe for an hour or so. We were doing some shopping, so the weather didn't affect us for that one hour. So if you do get rainy weather, it's most likely not going to last very long.
