I'm tring to decide between Romney Garden and Brimstone Hill Fortress or Romney Gardens and the two hour rain forest hike. Has anyone tried either of these two? Or make a recomindation.
Brimstone Hill is a world heritage site, beautifully restored with magnificent views. To miss it would be a shame unless you have absolutely no interest in historical things.
I would definitely recommend seeing Brimstone Hill. Also check out Greg's Safari for a rainforest or volcano tours. His web site is www.gregsafaris.com
I would suggested you hire a taxi. Brimstone Hill is a wonderful site and the views from there are fantastic. Romney Mannor has a gift shop where they sell Caribelle Batik clothes. There is a small demonstration area where you can watch them make them. The gardens are pretty but small. Ask a taxi driver how much it will cost to drive you around the island. It's a small island and only takes about 2 hours (with stops) Ottleys Plantation Inn and The Golden Lemon are a must see.
We are going to St. Kitts next week. Mt wife can not walk alot due to recent knee implant replacements. Looking at what is available, is the Train Tour a good over-view trip ? ? Or is there something else that would be better ? ?
Thanks in Advance.
