Swim with the stingrays on Pearl Island, Nassau is a definate. St. Thomas/St. John Trunk Bay snorkelling is worth the trip just for the views! Have fun!

so much depends upon what you want to do. Do you just want to just go to a beach and relax, do you want to snorkel, dive, visit historic sites, shop etc? That would really help narrow down our suggestions.

As the mom of a now 19 yr. old myself, w/friends of similar ages sailing w/us the past few yrs., I can recommend Orient Beach in St. Martin (on the french side. Lots of things to do like parasailing and jet skiing, climbing an "igloo" in the water, banana boat rides, and many places to grab a sandwich or seafood. Beautiful beach! Also there is a beach right near the downtown area in Phillipsburg, on the Dutch side, if you want to mess around shopping for a while and then just hand at a small beach are likely to be - at a place called "Everyting Cool" that many young, college-age types like. I'm not condoning 18 yr. olds drinking (in fact, I don't like it) but in most caribbean islands it is legal, so that does go on at Everyting Cool. In fact, I think there is some pkg. you can buy there. But also sandwiches but it's not exactly Carlos and Charlie's or Sr. Frogs.

If you can, when you are in Nassau, go over to Paradise Is. and take a walking tour of Atlantis. Many ships offer tours there. We have always managed just to walk in (through the casino) and out to the pool area and saw a lot like that. But I've heard it's tougher now. If you don't mind paying for it, it's a great place to see! Lots of " underwater windows" w/sharks and stuff as you walk through cavelike hallways beneath "ground level."

Definitely Trunk Bay when in St. Thomas. Esp. if you like great natural beauty and to snorkel. That would require you either book through your ship (nice because you ride to Trunk Bay and get a narative by the driver as you ride in open air safari buses and see fantastic views along the way). Or take a cab to Red Hook and get a ferry over to St. John, then a cab to Trunk Bay. (None of this is very pricey.) There are ferries from Charlotte Amalie on St. Thos., but they run less often. It eliminates a cab ride. This ferry takes 45 min. The one from Red Hook takes about 20. Both offer lovely views. Or a lot of young people like the bit jet boat rides or any number of things. There will be a kajillion shore excursions listed. Lots of kids like the party boat Kon Tiki. But it's really just a bunch of drinking and a beach stop. Not all that.
