What do you think of Montego Bay, Jamaica?

I've been to Montego Bay, Jamaica. We had a good time, even though it was scary at times. I would like to hear from some others who went there. What did you do? Did you have any problems with people bothering you?

I haven't been there yet, but have a stop there while on Freedom of the Seas next month. We booked the canapy tour, really looking forward to that. I figured it would be best to just book something there, just like Ochio Rios..

I'll be sure to post on the excursion, they seem to be in a lot of ports these days, even Alaska.

We did the Rum tour, so we did not get downtown where the say it is bad. the rum tour was great fun and a good days tour.

I have been there on cruise ships a couple of times and I like it so well that I went back and stayed a week in a resort. I've been to street parties that appeared to be rough but if you enjoy partying hearty this is the place. There are drugs to be had, but just saying no(if that is what you want to do) gets the job done. I have been snorkling, I rafted down the river and this is something that I really enjoyed. I did go downtown during the day and at night and will say that you may not want to spend much time there at night. There are some dark areas where I beleive it could get dangerous. Overall, I like Montego Bay and hope to visit again soon.
