excursion St Maarten and St Kitts

we have booked a day excursion with bernards tour on St Maarten do you know somthing about this.

we only need something on st Kitts i was thinking about the fan ta sea cruise included bbq what do you think about these twoo

In St Kitts, I really enjoyed the Brimstone Hill Fortress

St Maarten is so friendly and easy to get around that I would just get a taxi and ask them to take you on a tour, probably much cheaper and more personal. Sunset Beach, where the planes fly close overhead, is a great spot to see and there is a nice bar and beach there for a drink and/or a swim.

In St Kitts, we took a taxi to Turtle Beach and the scenery along the way was incredible. The beach was really nice too and the monkeys come right close to you. There is a bar/restaurant there too. Our taxi driver waited for us there for a couple of hours and then drove us back, with lots of stops along the way for the best photos we have ever taken in the Caribbean! Don't remember cost but I think it was around $40 round trip total. Town isn't the cleanest and has open sewers but very quaint and less modernized than many ports, which made it kind of interesting to see. People are very friendly there too. This was actually one of our favourite ports in that it was unique and more unspoiled.

I don't know anything about Bernard's Tour in St. Maarten, but we booked a tour through Island Marketing. It was a great tour and included shopping, sightseeing in both the Dutch and French sides, the butterfly farm, and some beach time. We went to Orient Beach, which is very nice. There is a nudist beach at the far end, but you don't have to venture over there, and the people there are not ones you would want to see naked (old and overweight). The rest of the beach is topless, but we didn't see very many topless women. As a note, everything on the French side is more expensive. The accepted currency is the Euro, although some places do take dollars. A couple of sandwiches and two bottles of water at the beach cost us $35 with the tip. You also have to pay to rent beach chairs ($8 per chair), but it is nice to have a chair to sit on.

One interesting excursion they had on St. Kitts was a train ride up the hills through the old sugar cane plantation.

hey, cut the 'old and overweight' bit; you'll be there someday if you are lucky enough. and i'm sure the nudes on orient beach couldn't care less if you want to gawk at them or not.
