Awaiting the cruise ship on South Beach

We got way cheaper flights flying on Friday so we are extending our vacation by 2 days on South Beach. Went out on a limb and booked a mystery hotel on a discount website. Got the Blue Moon on South Beach, it has good reviews, and has been recently renovated, and we got an exceptional price so I feel fortunate. I am a little nervous about the South Beach area though. Any words of wisdom about South Beach will be much appreciated.

I loved South Beach when I stayed there in November. We had no problems, just take normal precautions and you should be fine.

I wish we had googled more things to do before we went though. Someone told me not to miss the Blue Martini Bar...except we did .

Everyone there raved about South Beach. We stayed over one street from where you are, which was right across from the beach. Lots of neat hotels and such.

South Beach is awesome but its heavy on the nightlife. I extended my cruise back when I went on the Paradise. We had a great time though. We went sight seeing a lot and went to the beach and the hotel pool.

It is expensive so be prepared, its lucky that you got a deal on the hotel

Thanks for the tips. I'm a little nervous as we are arriving at the hotel after midnight, but guess there will be lots of wild night life out and about.
