If you are going on the Paradise just to party you may find it isn't what you expect. The Paradise being a non-smoking ship tends to bring those people that are more concerned about a healthy lifestyle and alcoholic sales are not as high on this ship. In addition, Carnival is all for fun but they are determined to shed this reputation of being a wild party ship. Those that are intoxicated and loud are frowned upon but not only security, but by fellow passengers who are enjoying themselves. Now if you are going with the intent of just having a wonderful time, I think that it can be found.
I agree, we were on the Paradise back 1999 and found that most of the people on board were a lot more laid back than what we expected. All said though, we really had a great time, and the non-smoking part was icing on the cake.
I am sailing on the Paradise on April 8. I love to drink and dance and have fun. Please tell me that people will be out having a good time. I'd hate to think I made a bad choice of ships. I chose the Paradise because of the non-smoking thing, but that doesn't mean I don't like to have fun!!!
I agree with you 100%. I am sure that if you want to, you can have a good time anywhere without being rowdy. I chose the ship for its non-smoking aspect, but I still like to party late in to the night.
Hey, if no one else does, I know that there is at least one other person on board that likes to dance & drink & have a good time!!!
Have you seen the liquor policy? I've read that you can't bring alcohol on the ship. I understand the reasons behind it, I suppose. I don't understand why its ok for me to carry alcohol on the ship if I am celebrating something, but not if I'm just trying to get out of the cold midwest! Speaking of which, hopefully Chicago O'Hare won't be snowed in!! Who needs delays when you are trying to get to Paradise?!
I am flying out of Chicago Midway airport (heard that they have renovated the airpot) & will be going to Ft. Lauderdale (12.30 pm). Hopefully the weather will get better by April 08.
I might take a cab from there to the port (does someone know of a better mode of transportation!!).
This is my first cruise & I absolutely plan to have fun!!
