Default Conquest or Navigator, cruising in Sept.?

How risky is it to take a cruise in September? I was considering the RCCL Navigator (Miami, Bahamas or Labadee?, Cozumel, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman) on Sept 4 or Carnival Conquest (New Orleans, Montego Bay, Grand Caymen, Cozumel) on lSept 5? How can I find out the chances of bad weather??? Also, any suggestions on which ship I should chose of these two? We are a couple in our early 30's.
