Default Christmas on a CCL ship

Howdy folks!

Although I have been on a couple of cruises and have learned well from the mentors I have found on this site I have never been on a ship during the holidays (as Im not worty of being called a professional cruiser....... yet ). I was wondering, does Carnival decorate the ships during the holidays? I will be bording with the Momster on Dec. 17th and plan on taking a tiny artificial tree for the cabin. Is the clothing dressier this time of year .......

Thanks,
Michelle

Yes they do put up some decorations, not a whole lot but tastefully done.

Yes. The decorate the ship and are careful to honor all the religions that have holidays during this timeframe. It will not look like Christmas in New England by any means but you will know it is the Christmas season. I might add that this is a very hard time for the crew so if you do cruise during this time try and be especially nice and show interest in their personal lifes. Remember that they are away from home and loved ones doing their job and it is very lonely for them.

Talk to them! Show an interest in their life back home and tell them how much you appreciate them. Ask to see some photos of their family. You might be surprised how much they appreciate sharing.

Thanks for the advice!!! I will make sure I do just that. I remember on the last cruise I got to know about alot of the families and what not about them. They did enjoy it.
