I was just on her in January and it was awesome....our first cruise and we really enjoyed it. I wrote a review in the reader review section. I would start there. I found a lot of useful info from reading others reviews.
Food was pretty well described in my review. It was all great...I was maybe a little disappointed with the Lido buffet, but maybe that was just my tastes on the selections available. Not that it was bad, just thought it would be better. Dining room and other food venues were better than expected.
Entertainment was great as well....don't miss the magic shows and the comedians. The "broadway" type shows are very well done, just depends if that is your thing or not. always something going on.
I came back from the Triumph over a week now, and my husband and I had a great time. We were celebrating our 22nd anniversay. It was a neat ship with lots of etertainment. Our cruise Director was funny and very informative.. I meet alot of nice people and still emailing to them. The staff was friendly and always making sure you are comfortable and always asking if we need anything and always cleaning our cabin .I loved our waiters! The food was great and the desserts were out of this world . The shows were great . The excursions were a great selection. We did the Dunns River Falls, Fern Gully Rain Forest Swimming with The Stingrays (scary at first but fun), saw The Mayan Ruins (excellent tour) and did alot of shopping. Good prices on ship for Gold or silver chains, a dollar to 4 dollars a inch. My husband enjoyed his message in the spa. And you would never go hungry on this ship. It was the best vacation I ever had. Beware of the ships photgraphers . They take great pictures of you everywhere and they can be pricey. And my best advice is not to over pack. I didnt even wear half the clothes in my suitcase and ended up buying another one for all the souvenirs for our kids. You will not be disappointed. If you have anymore question feel free to ask? Enjoy your cruise!
Are you going on the Eastern or Western? I have the capers from the Eastern from January. I had so much fun, that just when I think about it I smile and feel good still. I'm planning on going again next January. I think the only thing that threw me was the buffet on the Lido deck, for some reason I expected this huge buffet (which really only occurs once at Midnight during the entire cruise). I loved the deli and the coney island (burgers and fries are great there), and watch out for the ice cream machine - I stopped far too often. The meals in the dining room are definitely worth dressing for in the evening. Be prepared to just have a wonderful time.
Can you send me the capers for the Triumph (eastern carribean) please?? I am sailing on January 1st 2005... Thank you!!

I will do that hockeyluver...I'll give you the full report. On the last cruise (Disney Wonder) I ended up sitting in the ESPN Skybox watching the Wings beat the Blues! Now that was an awesome cruise. Glad I had brought with my Yzerman hat and Wing shirt! It's amazing the Wing fans you run into.
I am sending the Eastern capers to anyone who gives there e-mail in this post. The file is too large to post into the message. I have included some other items like shopping fliers they gave out. I have a ton more info - if anyone is interested let me know.
Have a wonderful time, I had such a good time on this ship I am tempted to book again on the Triumph next year for the Western Cruise.
On the 6th deck, walk all the way forward. There is a door on either side with a warning about high winds. You'll have to give it a hard push to open it. You will then be on the front deck balcony just under the bridge. It is dark and very peaceful. Nobody goes out there and you can watch the clouds sail past the moon in peace...take a bottle of wine and you're ahead of the game!
That is awsome tadpole!! When we were on the Legend I kept going into the sports bar and checkin on the tv NO HOCKEY not even the leafs (cough cough if you call what they play hockey) then had two weeks in orlando with very little hockey on tv!! can you say withdrawl!!!!

I have to add that I stumbled on this cruise site and absolutely love it! Thanks to you and all the other folks who take the time to describe the good, the bad and yes even the downright ugly parts of cruising. The information gathered is invaluable to people like me.
