Default anyone cruised the victory to canada?

We just booked the July 3rd cruise on the victory. Does anyone know how the weather will be at that time? Also, Any suggestions on what to do while at port? Thanks

THE WEATHER IS GREAT, REALLY COMFORTABLE. TAKE A TOUR TO PEGGY'S COVE. THE SCENERY AND LIGHTHOUSE ARE UNBELIEVABLE. REMEMBER THE TV SERIES, "MURDER SHE WROTE"? ALL THE OUTDOOR SCENES WERE FILMED THERE.

I was there last July and the weather was perfect, sunny and 75. On the boardwalk in Halifax you can book a whale watching tour. We found out too late about it and"missed the boat". This excursion is not mentioned on board the Victory, but seemed very popular on the boardwalk.

Dont forget your american money will be worth alot more here in Canada not as much as it used to be I think right now for every american dollar it is worth $1.35 Canadian dont quote me on this but that is about it. Dont bring big bills because you will get canadian currency back as change not american!!!!!!!!

Sandy -- We were thinking about this trip. Haven't decided yet (& may not be able to go -- family wedding). One of my concerns is the temperature. Given the dates, I was also wondering if on Sunday night as we sailed north would there be fireworks or any celebration of the 4th of July? Do they sail closer to the coast so we can see them in the distance?

Took the Serenade of the Seas week of October 14, 03. Could not go into port in Maine because of bad weather. Did get to see halifax though. It was fun but I would not take the 3-4 hour tour again, too long.

Sorry, I don't remember the cost. I would guess $20-$25 per person. I think it was a 2 hour trip.
