Default Main Dining on 1st Night?

The Miracle out of NYC on June 7th doesn't leave port until 10 PM. I was wondering if there would be dinner in the main dining room on the first night, with the ship leaving so late?

Yes, there should be the regular dining room service that night, although it will be a "casual" dress code. YOu may want to just put the clothes you want to wear for dinner in a carry-on, you may not get all your luggage in time for dinner.

We actually called Carnival and they said that, yes, there will be dinner on Monday night. I'm not sure exactly how they're going to work it what with everyone getting on the ship late and needing to do the safety drill, but I'm sure we'll eat something.

Sorry a little off topic, but that is weird any particular reason why it leaves so late. I bet it is beautiful though. Perhaps that is their reasoning. Makes for a beautiful photo. But still seems late. Thanks Stephanie Have Fun Im going on the miracle feb 27th

The ships leaving out of San Juan leave that late too - probably travel time it takes to get to NY from West Coast? Just a guess though.

Does anyone know if they do the drill that day or if they wait until the next morning? the rule is that it must be done within 24 hours of sailing, and on Adventure ofthe seas out of san juan on RCCL they did it the next morning.

I was on the Jubilee leaving out of San Juan at 10:00 P.M. and there was a dinner and drill that same night.
