Default quad rooms

We are booked in a quad inside room on the Riviera deck on the Elation 7/11. There are 2 adults, an 18y/o and a 20y/o. Are we gonna regret this?? I did it to save $$, but maybe the extra $400 for 2 rooms would have been worth it? Any insight would be helpful. (I shoulda made my user name "cheapskate")

Personally, I would look into an upgrade or add an additional room. The quad rooms have two lower beds that I believe can be made into 1large bed and then 2 "uppers" which are beds that fold into the wall when they are not being used. If it was two adults and 2 kids, its perfect, but since the kids are older, I dont think it will be the most comfortable situation for all involved. Then of course there is the bathroom situation...isnt there still only 1 bathroom??
What do they think about it?

We are going on the Elation in Aug 22. We looked at many ships and it was always cheaper to get 2 to a room than 4 to a room if you book all of the lower price cabins ( which are exactly the same size as the higher priced categories) To get a quad, you have to go up several categories in price so the rate is much higher, even though the 3rd and 4th get a discount. YOu wold be so much better off to get 2 lower category cabins as they are the same size as the higher cabin. We booked 4 cabins.

Why not see if you can get a 1A for the kids sometimes these are cheaper than the 4A's and there are some on the same deck.

The bathroom is not a problem. When it is time to shower and clean up 2 of you need to go to the spa and use their showers which are roomier anyway. If you can keep everything stored away and kept neat in the cabin it should not be a problem

We put our 4 kids in one room and it was crowded. IMO I would go for the two rooms.

One bathroom was HELL (for lack of better words). It all depends on how old your kids are. For us, they were 12 (boy) and 17 (girl)..... BIG DRAMA with the bathroom! Go ahead and book another one... you WONT regret it!

You also may want to book two rooms if
the 18 & 20 year old plan on staying out
and about later at night. DW and i like to
wake up about 6am and hit the jogging
track. Our teenagers tend to stay out till 2am
and then sleep in.

The two older ones will NOT be happy sleeping in the bunks, my 14yr old found it too small and she is only 5'4 Our next cruise we have 2 cabins booked and each has only two beds in it, which will be put together for my hubby and me and left apart for the girls. It was cheaper to do it this way then to get one cabin for the 4 of us.

Young at Heart-YEAH!!! I thought maybe we were the only ones sailing that day, even though all the TA's said it was nearly full!! We haven't decided on shore excursions yet, but one thing for sure is SNUBA for 3, snorkle for 1. I may book with Coral Breeze, haven't heard back from them. Email me, maybe we can get together!
