Bucket o' Beer

Our family will be traveling on the Conquest April 10-17. Can't wait!! This is our 1st cruise. My son wants to know how much a bucket of beer costs. He's planning to see how many hundreds of dollars he will need for drinking. Also, if anyone knows the other prices for mixed drinks, etc., please reply. Thanks, DJ

DJ

I think if you do a search on here you will see where someone took the time to post all of the bar prices. Just go to the seach area and then type in bar prices or something or other. I have seen many times on here where people wanted the exact same information so you should be able to find it. Good luck and have a great first cruise.

The beers are like $3.79 each but you can get a bucket of four for about $13.50.

You can also get 4 - 18 packs or beer into a standard size suitcase bringing you average price per beer down to about $ .50 per beer depending which kind you like. That comes out to just over 5 beers per person, per day , double occupancy on a 7 day cruise.

Not bad for under $40.

ps

The same amount at ship prices would be near $1,000.00 BEFORE you add tips.

Re: Bucket o' Beer

I spent $450 on beer and a couple of mixed drinks, I def. drank more than 5 beers a day. It is more expensive than sneaking some on board, however $500 should have you feeling pretty good, it also depends on when you stop and start drinking each day. If you don't start till after dinner and stop around 1 am you wont spend nearly as much as if you start at noon and finish at 0200. Anyways, have fun and I think it is hard for anyone to give an exact amount to bring.

I am from Maine too. I also like to drink alot of Budweiser. Look forward for report on the Victory cruise when you get back. We are a group of 20 sailing on 4/17 on the Victory.

I too,am from Maine. I was able to knock off the credit for not going where we were supposed to go pretty easily. We got Florida instead of the Carribean and they got to get out of it for a few "barley pops" since after tip they about $4.00..

I would have rather gotten the trip than a few overpriced beers.

A bucket of 4 Beers on Conquest was $11.50 +!5%= $13.23. About the price of a case at home. LoL you don't want to see our bar tab.

Thanks for all your help. Can't wait for the cruise. My son has now designated a whole suitcase to beer, vodka, rum, etc. I hope after all of this, he'll remember the cruise. lol.
