Got two helpful hints from friends this weekend. Take a few dryer sheets in a zip lock bag and a clip of some kind (office type, bag clip, hair clip) and clip the dryer sheet to your air/heat vent in the room. Will freshen room as well as take away any odors left by a previous smoker. Also place some in your closet and drawers. Carry a container of those Clorox disinfecting wipes........wipe the vents down if you suffer from allergies to mold, etc. Will help with this as well as leaving the room with a just cleaned smell. I carried a bottle of Febreeze this weekend because I knew I was staying in a smoking room (non smoking wasn't available). It worked pretty well except that pillows smelled of smoke.
great ideas. i would never have thought about the dryer sheets on the vent. i was planning on taking a few to put in the big zip-lock plastic bag for dirty clothes ( to help eliminate any odors in there ) but the vent sounds good too. well, i guess i have a few more small things to put in the bag.
