??-Unable to depart when ship leaves port - can I catch up?

First time cruising. Discovered tonight that the day the ship leaves is my sons High School Graduation. The second day the Caribbean Princess is at the Princess Cays, Bahamas. I'm hoping I can fly there?? The cruise line said I can join the ship late but I'm not sure how to arrange this...has anyone else ever had to do this? Help - I'm sick over this and embarrassed to tell the "others" in my group about my mess up until I have a solution....thanks for any help.

You need to have your travel agent take care of this or if you booked with the cruiseline, ask them directly how you should handle this.

Princess Cay is the cruise lines private island in the Bahamas. I don't think you can get a flight there. You would have to fly into either Nassau or freeport and then hire a boat to take you to Princess Cay. I think it would be easier to fly into the next port of call where there is airport service.

Darcy is exactly right. There is no air service into Princess Cay. The costs would be prohibitive to meet the ship there.

Your best bet would be the first major port of call...which would likely mean meeting the ship on day 3 of the cruise.

Your best bet would be to cancel ($$$) or TRY to tranfer your booking, if possible to another date. This would be a VERY expensive cruise for you and the others if you have to pay for extra flights. Get in touch w/your booking agent NOW.
