Default Balcony sizes

We had our first Carnival balcony last November on the Glory. It was very nice and we will probably get another next trip. My question is that on the web-sites and booklets the balconies look MUCH BIGGER on Princess and RCCL. ...are they as big as they look ??? I will have to admit our balcony with it's 2 chairs was really quite small on Glory. I have stay one other time on the HAL Veendam and that balcony was nice, but we had a small penthouse then.....naturally the balcony was really nice.

Were you in a suite on Glory or a regular balcony room?

I've never been on another cruise line so I'm not sure but I do know there's a big different between suite balconies and regular balconies.

Unless you are in a suite, or mini suite, or on the stern of some ships, most balcony cabins are very similar in size.

Some ships have a few somewhat larger balconies on standard cabins because of the ship's design... but those are rare.

We were in a regular cabin...no suite on the Glory. But there was only room for 2 small chairs and standing up room in front of each chair....very small. Looks like in the brochure for Princess there is a table and 4 chairs on the balcony.....and that shows on a standard balcony room.

Hi Joie,

We've never had a balcony on Carnival, but we were on Grand Princess (Caribe Deck 310) and our balcony had two chairs and a small table. It wasn't very big, but big enough for two!

I'm sure you know the brochure's photographers use wide angle lenses! They also show all the passengers as young, tan, beautiful and in formal attire ! I don't think any "regular" balcony would have room for four chairs and a table.
