Default certain clothes in Jamaica

Does anyone know if you can wear camo pants( like soldiers wear ) in Jamaica. I heard the rumer that americans cant wear them there....silly rumer but wanted to ask

I know its against the law to wear any army camo type clothing in Barbados. They had a very horrible incident and have banned it ever since.

actually Cathy that's not silly at all. I would err on the side of caution and not wear them. I suppose you could go to the Jamaica board of tourism web site and ask.

We are going to Costa Maya, Jamaica and Grand Cayman maybe my daughter shouldnt wear them in any ports.

In this matter I would say when in doubt, don't. I know last year we were specifically told before we ported in Barbados NOT to wear camo. I have been to Jamaica a dozen times and was never told not to there, I don't wear camo so I may not have paid attention, but better safe than sorry.

Cathyfl just tell your daughter "NO!!" No pants like that on the trip. That way, the temptation is not there.
