Yes, you can smoke in the cabins, but I've never smelled that cigarette smoke, ventilation systems are very good.

Viv
One the very first day we arrived early to our cabin before they were finished cleaning and noticed a stale cigerette smell. When we returned and it was ready for us. The smell was totally gone.

We were thoroughly satisfied with the Victory and hope you will be as well.
We sailed May 7th thru 14th.

I am wondering also....why you were unhappy with Victory Johnnydp???

Default why we were unhappy with the victory

Antron, you asked why were not happy with the victory, Well we were in a cat 11 suite. Our balcony light never worked. We were told that they were all turned off from the bridge and would remain off until we were in port. Which even then they were never on. Our fridge was not working, the shower door leaked water all over the floor when you took a shower and thats where the blow dryer was, so for me that was a concern. They ask you to do your part save water and energy by reusing the towels which i had no problem with but we were wasting them by preventing puddles. So that was never fixed even though we tried to do so. Our waiters in the pacific dinning room were terrible. If i didn't know better i would have thought it was their first time doing that job. My husband was taking my son to the pool one day, got into the elevator and it was covered in vomit. I understand those things happen however it happened ALOT! The food was not safe to eat at the buffet. Nothing was chilled properly, I have a very weak ammune system so I have to be careful. All the salad stuff, like pasta salad was warm and just barley sitting on top of ice. At lunch or dinner in the buffet you couldn't touch the cheesecake because it was melting. The crew just seemed as though they really didn't want to be there and were for the most part rude. I think that ship could be so much more with some new management. I hope you have better luck then we did. Next time we will stick with RCCL. thanks for asking what i thought and i hope i didn't come off badly, but it was really this bad

For some reason, on the Triumph & Victory ships, the showers leak all over the floor. I would recommend that you throw down some towels and ask for extra from your room steward. The trick is...don't throw down the towels until you are finished showering.

there are many minor things to "worry" about if you choose to worry. I choose to enjoy every moment...

I love the Victory, because.....

There is a fiesta deck party as you are sailing away from San Juan Puerto Rico...this was fantastic.

There is a deli that serves hot pastrami on rye with swiss cheese and mustard just the way I like it.

There is a disco where I love to dance.

There is a casino where I love to blow my cash or possibly win a few coins.

I can eat ice cream 24 hours a day if I want.

I can order room service and order 3 sandwiches all for me....

I still haven't seen the shows, maybe in November I will....I was having to much fun last time.

The first sight of the beautiful green atrium makes me weak in the knees.

The piano bar is open late, and the piano man sings the tune I need to hear at that very moment.

The sun shining down on me in my deck chair is the same no matter what ship I am on & I can hear the steel drum band from my chair.

She isn't brand new, but she is shiny and proud and I never know the difference.

The bottom line is, I am on vacation, and I am gonna love it. You shouldn't assume that if someone else had a bad time, that you will not enjoy it. Their opinion is there....so that you can decide if it is something that you will enjoy or if it is something that you will not enjoy.
Everyones opinion is valuable for this reason.

How was the eleventh floor? I believe this is the highest floor they sleep passengers? That is where we are at...I am a bit uneasy of feeling the movement more on this level. What is your opinion?

Although I haven't heard a lot of complaints about higher decks - and I have been on the highest deck - it IS a fact that the higher you are, the more motion you will feel. If you want minimal motion, Riveria Deck midship cabins are for you.

Yep, the Bonine always works for me. Don't worry about it. Just concentrate on the great cruise you'll have. You probably won't have any motion problem at all.

My Victory cruise was filled with smokers everywhere. The smokers smoked in eating areas, non smoking areas and even in front of security without a word said to them. I reported these incidents and Carnivals reply was, " we can't confront the guests". That was a joke. I guess since they can't confront guests, the next time I go on a cruise, I will help myself to the galley whenever I want lobster.
