I know this is a cruise MB, but I'm sure many of you are seasoned photographers (I'm NOT ). I have a Vivitar camera with 8MB internal and 128MB SD memory card. If the batteries run out, do I loose the photos contained in internal memory? How bout the card? I do know I have to reprogram the date/time after changing batteries. Also, were do the pictures first go when taken? Do they first fill the internal memory or SD card? I'd sure hate to loose any cruise photos. Thanx in advance.
No you will not loose any pictures if your batteries run out. I have 3 memory cards i like to bring on is only 64mb and two are 128mb. This way I can take the card out and leave it in the cabin and i dont have to worry about losing the card with all the pictures i have taken up to that point. You never know your camera could get stolen, accidentally drop in the water. Yes i tend to worry about stuff like that lol

You will NOT lose your images on either the card OR the internal memory if your battery fails. However, it's never a good idea to leave pics on your internal memory for too long. Too many things can happen. Most likely...losing the camera altogether. The length of your cruise is NOT too long, though. Hope that helps.
