Just to give you an idea on the prices, I am sailing next month on the Miracle and called the Bon Voyage departmernt for a price check. I am a Crown drinker and a bottle from the cruise line is $55. It's a good bit more than in the store, but definitely not so expensive that it is prohibitive. I have always taken my own bottle with me, but will get it from Carnival this time and just bring my own mixers.
Hope this helps.

I have sailed twice on Carnival, both times I have taken alcohol on board, and both times I have left alcohol on board. I'm not a heavy drinker and I found it rather cumbersome to travel back to the cabin just to pour a drink. I also found it cumbersome carrying around a "water bottle" full of clear vodka just in case I wanted to make a drink.

I'll be sailing again in March, I'll be sneaking on more Vodka...

The cycle continues...

EMG that was one cute post you wrote. I burst out laughing on the ending sentence about the cycle continuing with you bringing the bottle again as I do it also lolol. Thanks for the smile and laugh.

I wouldn't mind buying my drinks, but I am so specific when it comes to mixing my margarita...3 oz. Sweet & Sour, 1 1/2 oz. Sauza Conmemorativo Tequila, 1/2 oz. Cointreau, 1/2 oz. Presidente Brandy....shaken with ice...poured into a salted rimmed ice-filled glass, no lime. no straw. Do you think they have this on the drink menu, or should I pack all of this?

If the cruiselines wouldn't charge so much for drinks there might not be as much "wise packing" going on. Seems like a whole lot of us bring our own. They might make the same or more in volume. The ol Sam Walton approach.

Default Not a problem!

Hello,
I just came back yesterday from a week on the Carnival Pride. We had 2 bottles of Fetzer and 1 bottle of Skyy Vodka in our checked suitcases and it was fine. I drank both bottles of Fetzer in the wine glasses that were in our room. However, the skyy came back home with us. I saw people in line to get on the boat carrying cases of Wine. P.S., our TOTAL bill for drinks and gambling was $4000+!!!! So, be carefull, cause it adds up fast! "Holy Sheeeeet Man"
