Default Cost of parking at New Orleans pier?

Can someone who's recently parked at the pier in N.O. advise how much is being chaged now? Also, I have heard that they charge you for an extra day... Please clarify if this is true. Thanks!!!!

Rob

Default Hey. Not sure of the

price but my friend left from there today. I can ask when she gets back.. I saw that you sailed on the Holiday ship.. What did you think of that ship? We are thinking of sailing that ship or going out of N.O. on the Fantasy..

We parked there in December. It was $14.00 a day. We pulled in on a Thursday and left on a Monday and they charged us $56.00.

The parking garage is literally ON TOP of the cruise terminal...very convenient.

Thank you for your response lhp!

To answer crimsonky's question, I prefer the Fantasy-class ships (Fascination, Sensation, etc...) to the Holiday. Not that the Holiday was a bad ship....it just feels like there is more things to see and do on the bigger ships. I also felt that the cabins were a little smaller on the Holiday than other Carnival ships. In addition, the Holiday lacks the atrium that is seen on other ships. The food is the same as other Carnival ships.

Even with that being said, I would sail the Holiday again if I was able to get a great rate. However, if the cost of sailing on the Holiday were the same as another ship for the same dates, I would choose the other ship.

Parking 2 weeks ago was $70 for a 5 day cruise at the cruise terminal. Kinda high, compared to other places.

For a seven day cruise expect to pay about $100. The parking facility for the Julia dock is above the terminal
