Default Freedom Ship - Replacing Triumph?

I read that the Freedom is going to replace the Triumph out of Miami starting in September (http://cruises.about.com/b/a/256421.htm).

Right now the Triumph is still listed on the carnival site when you search for a cruise after September 2007. So does this mean if I am looking at a cruise next spring list as being on the Triumph I would really be booking on the Freedom? Thanks, Carla

I'm curious is anyone knows this info as well. I just read the article and now I'm concerned, as I'm booked on the Triumph in November!!! I'm in an extended balcony room for an amazing price, and I don't want to give up that balcony if the ship switches!

The Freedom doesn't leave Europe until Oct. 28/2207 for her 14 day Translatlantic sailing to Miami.

Her first Florida sailing is a 4 day cruise. Nov 13.
We have a CruiseMates group cruise on her the following week for Thanksgiving.

In 2008 the Freedom will be sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale.

Right now on Carnivals website the Freedom and Triumph are listed for the exact same itineraries, dates and ports.

Will they we cruising side by side for every cruise? Carla

I called carnival and inquired about this, as our cruise is in November. I was told that the Freedom will NOT be replacing the triumph, as they will be both docked in Miami, and eventually switching out every other week. SO I'll still be on the Triumph, but when we get back, the freedom will be heading out for the same itinerary. I guess they really didn't want to move to Triumph!!
