Irons avail. for free in laundry rooms. No irons [not even "travel irons"] allowed in your cabin. Steamers allowed. One way to pack that decreases wrinkling is rolling [not folding] your clothes

Thanks guys for the help....Just one more question though, no irons allowed but from what I understand they allow you to smoke in there....I don't get it. Especially if someone lights up in bed while drunk.

They must be concerned about large burn marks from the irons..... I agree doesn't make sense but?

It's called "people will still travel without an iron but smokers won't travel without a cancer stick". simple economics Cigarettes are more likely to start an accidental fire but they don't want to lose smoker's business.

So the rooms smell like a freakin' ashtray if there was a smoker in there on the prior cruise?

I'm pretty sensitive to smoke and however they get the smell out of the cabins, they do a good job! You shouldn't have too many worries. I just found it hard to find a place to go dancing at night that was smoke free.

When I have travelled in the past I bring Downy Wrinkle Release spray. You can get it at Walmart or Target. Heck they probably even have it at your local grocery store. Works great!

They don't provide one. One other option is turning on the hot shower full blast and closing the door. Steam will begin billowing within a minute or so. Hang wrinkled clothes inside...close the door...and let the steam "do its thing"

Smoke in the rooms.
I am a smoker but my wife hates the smell of smoke. We have cruised 4 times and until a week ago I did not know one could smoke in the cabins. We have never noticed any smoke smell in the cabins on the ship. Don't worry about the smell. It shouldn't be an issue.

My husband and I are not smokers and went on several cruises, and not once did we smell any smoke in our cabins.

I really wish I knew what they use to get the smell of smoke out, because whatever it is, it works great!

IFrom my understanding they don't use anything special for the smell. The ventilation system is so strong it has a high air exchange in each cabin.
Works great...

It is true that they get the smoke odor out. An interesting thing about smoking and cruising - we were on the Paradise a few years ago when it was totally smoke free. Then we were told it was one of the last cruises in which it would remain so. The reason was that the revenue from non smokers was much less than from those who smoked, especially in the casino. And thus ever mindful of the bottom line, the Paradise was smoke free no more. It went the way of the topless decks.

I have a little steamer made by Joy Mangano. They sell them on HSN, they are very inexpensive less than $30.00. It works great. Matter of fact I use it at home instead of my iron. No boards, just hang up the garment and steam it.
