Default What is your favorite Eastern Caribbean port?

My favorite Eastern Caribbean port is St. Martin. It is hilly and beautiful. We loved visiting the French side of the island. The shopping was great there, and the scenery amazing.

Ditto on French St. Martin and also St. John especially Trunk Bay. A nice island though not easily gotten to is Virgin Gorda for the Baths and Little Dix Bay.

Default St. Marten all the way, baby!

I absolutely love St. Marten. Was there for my first time last month. It was great. The hills and coast line was breathtaking. Love taking the water taxi to Phillipsburg. Going back in December on the Miracle hopefully doing more of the French side this time. Only went to Merigot and the Butterfly farm on an excursion. People were nice. Plus they have my all time favorite shop (Belgian Chocolate Box, to die for chocolate that crew members visited when I was there last month) Going to get at least 2 boxes for myself and maybe a box to sweet talk my boss in letting me take another cruise within a two month times. Also going to St. Lucia and St. Kitts this time just can not wait. Time better go fast!!

Default My favorite port was . . .

Barbados. In truth, I did a quick tour of the island but when I went to the beach (Monkey Beach??? can't remember the name), the water was so calm and unbelievably clear. In all of my travels I have never seen ocean water that clear, blue and warm. It was like swimming in a giant bathtub.

I fell in love with the island for that reason. Oh but to stand in the water up to my shoulders and be able to look down and see the pedicure design on my big toe at though I was standing on dry land. :o The sand on the beach was soft soft soft, no shells, no twigs, no seaweed. The sand was like talcum powder and the water like bath water. It was heaven!!!!

I hope to go back either this fall (probably not) or definitely by fall, 2008.

Default I'll miss St Martin

When we booked our cruise, St Martin was one of the stops. Carnival changed the itinerary, and did notify us. We had the option of changing dates, however, since the airline tickets had been purchased with airline miles, we couldn't change our reservation. Alas, there is always the next cruise!!!
